What Is MFRC?
MFRC is more than a building—it’s your neighbor, your advocate, and your partner in creating real change. Inspired by the legacy of Macedonia’s vibrant roots, and powered by the voices of today’s families, youth, and local leaders, we exist to create lasting opportunity in every corner of High Point.
From Grassroots Vision to Community Anchor
Macedonia Family Resource Center was born from a simple but powerful belief: that every person—regardless of background, income, or circumstance—deserves access to opportunity. Founded in 2003, we started as a small, faith-driven initiative designed to meet the immediate needs of families in High Point's Macedonia community. But we quickly realized that addressing hunger or providing resources wasn't enough. True empowerment requires education, advocacy, relationships, and a commitment to walk alongside people for the long haul.
Today, Macedonia Family Resource Center serves over 3,500 families annually across High Point and Guilford County. We've grown from a single-room operation to a comprehensive hub offering programs in adult education, youth development, and community wellness. But our heart remains the same: grassroots, culturally responsive, and relentlessly focused on dignity and opportunity.
We are more than a nonprofit. We are neighbors, advocates, mentors, and champions for the people we serve. And we're just getting started.

From Macedonia’s proud past to today’s resilient future, our story is one of transformation.
Years ago, Macedonia was the heart of Black excellence and community pride in High Point. Today, MFRC stands as a beacon—revitalizing what makes our neighborhood special and reclaiming hope.
Through community-led action, city partnerships, and family initiative, MFRC grew from a vision to reality. Our Center is now a hub for education, food access, technology, and connection—designed for and by our residents.
